Story Of House of The Dragon:

The excursions and contentions that will characterize the prequel's story are spread out in the primary episode, from King Viserys I Targaryen picking Rhaenyra as his main successor over Daemon, and Hand of the King, Otto Hightower, sending his little girl to comfort the King in a snapshot of need. These are seeds that will develop over years, both in-universe and, should the show last, in reality as well. What's more, for certain large prods of that and associations with Game of Thrones in the House of the Dragon season 1, episode 1 completion, the pieces are a lot of on the chessboard that is King's Landing. :

The House of the Dragon season 1, episode 1 closure sees King Viserys shock the domain by naming Rhaenyra, his main residing kid, as his main beneficiary over his sibling, Prince Daemon. One of the primary purposes behind this is explained in the episode, as Viserys does it in light of Daemon ridiculing the passing of his child, Baelon, naming him "main successor for a day." Viserys' outrage is somewhat why he picks Rhaenyra over Daemon, yet it runs further as well. There had for quite some time been worries inside the King's Small Council - not least from Otto - with respect to what might happen were Daemon to become King. Viserys disregarded these remarks since he genuinely accepted he would have a child; when Aemma kicks the bucket in labor and their child not long later, then, at that point, he's constrained into making a conclusive move (not something that works out easily for him).

Liberally, one really might assume that he leaned toward his girl over Daemon due to how himself became King; as displayed in House of the Dragon season 1 debut's opening, Viserys was picked as King at the Great Council of 101 AC in front of Rhaenys Targaryen, regardless of her solid case. While it very well may be excessive to say this was an endeavor to redress that, Viserys is a respectable man and an accommodating person, and with that information and a need to keep Rhaenys and her significant other, Corlys Velaryon, onside, then it's likewise a shrewd choice right now - Corlys has an inclination for Daemon in the pilot, however this will work any more term...Watch online
